The Bensalem Township Police Animal Control Officer responded to the report of an injured bird near The Courtyards of Bensalem apartment complex Thursday.  Imagine her surprise when the injured bird turned out to be a bald eagle.

She was able to safely capture the eagle that appeared to be suffering from an unknown injury.  The eagle was transported to The Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center in Chalfont, PA where it will receive an examination and treatment for any injuries or disease.
