50 Year -Old Robert G. Kostaras Jr. of Levittown has done jail and state prison time before for an array of drug /substance related crimes, serving his sentence (s) eventually getting released and venturing back in to Levittown.
This time could be very different because investigators from the Bensalem Police Special Investigations Unit, with help from a federal informant, purchased four pounds of methamphetamine in three separate transactions over the last five months, according to court papers filed Wednesday alleging Kostaras was distributing the potent drug from his 1400 block Manning Boulevard home.
In June of this year, investigators met with a federal informant who received information about narcotic transactions Kostaras Jr was allegedly making. The informant told investigators he had come to know the Levittown man was distributing methamphetamine in and around the Bucks County area, according to the criminal complaint.
The informant, investigators spell out in court papers, is not a mere tipster but a person with whom officers have met and are familiar with. The person knows he/she could be charged with a crime if he/she concocted a false story and reported it to authorities, investigators noted in the probable cause, adding the informant does not have a criminal record for deceit involving , fraud, or dishonesty, like perjury, forgery, or embezzlement.
Investigators said in court records Kostaras is known from previous police related contacts. Officers noted other confidential informants alleged the suspect was dealing meth.
Investigators said in court records there were numerous complaints and information logged about the suspect and as a result a pole camera was placed at 1429 Manning Blvd.
Through electronic surveillance and physical surveillance conducted at this residence heavy foot traffic coming and leaving the property with Kostaras observed staying at the back of the residence during the day and night.
Police observed people walking into the property, meeting with Kostaras in the side shed or the driveway for short periods of time and leaving, leading investigators to determine drug sales were taking place.
Between the months of July, 2025 and December, 2025, three controlled buys were allegedly arranged from Kostaras resulting in the purchase approximately four pounds of methamphetamine, according to investigators.
Chemical testing by authorities of each bag of the alleged illicit substances took place in September Lab results from all there bags containing white solid substance tested positive for methamphetamines, according to court records.
On December 10th, 2025, at approximately 1:33 pm. a search warrant was executed on Kostaras residence, 1429 Manning Blvd. During the search, drug paraphernalia, including packaging, scales, and approximately a quarter pound of methamphetamine was recovered, authorities said
On-call District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel arraigned Kostaras on eight felony meth distribution charges and related offenses, setting bail at 10 percent of $250,000.00. He was remanded to the custody of Bucks County Correctional Facility with a January 6 date set for a preliminary hearing.
Kostaras, according to online court records, does not have an attorney of record presently. If convicted for a second time on the felony distribution offenses, he faces at minimum at least five to 10 years in state prison.
