A Levittown woman who made headlines for pulling off two armed robberies in 2013 with her then boyfriend waived her right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday on robbery charges connected to an August incident outside of Parx Casino where she allegedly pulled a knife and ripped a backpack off the victim.
Bensalem Township Police say on August 1 at 9:13 a.m. officers responded to the Quality Inn located at 3671 Street Road for the report of a robbery earlier in the morning at 12:52 a.m.
Upon arrival police met with the victim. She reported that her friend “Kat,” later identified as Katherine Swaim, and a white male driving a black pickup truck robbed her near Parx Casino, said police.
The victim also informed the officers that, on July 31 she took an Uber to Swaim’s house, located at the 50 block of Sherwood Dr in Levittown.
According to the probable cause, the victim said they were picked up by a male, later identified as Bernard Suerken, in his black pickup truck.
Continuing she said she was given a ride back to the Quality Inn by the pair.
During the ride Swaim, allegedly, asked the victim for money and she told her that she had none to give her. She continued that the truck traveled to Parx Casino and stopped.
Swaim, the victim said, turned towards her in the rear seat holding a three-inch pocket style knife and ripped a backpack style purse off her. During the struggle for the purse, Swaim punched her in the mouth causing a bloody lip and facial soreness.
The victim said in the struggle to get the bag contusions resulted on her legs. She told police she was thrown out of the pickup truck and Swaim and Suerken took off with her purse containing a Victoria Secret Pink wallet, debit cards, ID, make-up and $100.00 in cash.

She said the pickup truck was loud. The truck had an extended cab, and she sat behind Swaim, who was in the front seat, police said.
Investigators identified the pick up truck as a black Chevrolet S10, PA registration ZTM-***, registered to Suerken.
Area video surveillance was obtained and the assault was captured on video in the parking lot of 3327 Street Rd., formerly the Inn at Fox Chase next to Parx Casino.
Suerken was arrested in the case however all of his charges were dismissed at a September court hearing.
Swaim earned local infamy in 2013 as she and her former boyfriend went on a “,,crime spree” pulling off two strong-arm robberies in one day.
They were dubbed the crime spree couple .
She was sentenced to state prison time in both cases 3.5 to five years was subsequently released and then sent back to prison in 2023 in light of probation violations. Its uncleas when she was released from prison on both occasions
Swaim is currently confined at the women’s correctional facility on 10 percent of $100,000.00. She is charged with 6 robbery related offenses and several misdemeanors.
She’s due back in court next month to be formally arraigned and faces the strong possibility of having to do a long State prison term considering her prior convictions and gravity
