A Philadelphia man on Florida’s sexual offender list was arrested and jailed Tuesday, accused of breaking into a woman’s home getting undressed and telling her she looked to be a tasty snack, according to Bensalem Police as he was planning to rape her, authorities say.
Just before 3 p.m. yesterday, Bensalem Police were called to Lafayette Gardens, 520 Bristol Pike, for a report of female attacked by a heavyset white male who reportedly entered her apartment through the unlocked front door, police said in court records.
The suspect, according to authorities, grabbed the victim and began taking his clothes off while saying she “looks tasty.”
Focused on escaping and becoming a rape victim she began to scream for help and fought her attacker off , police said.
The suspect then fled from the scene and crossed into Philadelphia through the Poquessing Creek, police said.

Bensalem Police quickly swarmed the area and stopped a male matching the description the attacked female provided at the Sunoco station located at Frankford Avenue and Knights Road later identified as Louis Sophie, 45 currently of Southampton Road, Philadelphia.
A records search, revealed Sophie is a registered sex offender in Florida.
Sophie was transported to the Bensalem Township Police Department, where he was charged with burglary, attempted rape, simple assault, and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Justice Stacy Wertman and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $1 Million Bail.
Bensalem Police credited the victim for taking action to defend herself and immediately dialing 9-1-1 to allow police to respond quickly and capture “this predator,” authorities said in a press release.
Sophie’s next court date is scheduled for November 12 to answer to said charges.
