A milk tanker truck driver was killed after crashing and overturning  early Monday, at the Pennsylvania Turnpike interchange in Bensalem Township.

The Bucks County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene around 4:4o a.m.

The driver of the tanker truck, Matthew Ronca, 34, of Lancaster, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The turnpike was closed for hours, officials said,  as rescue crews and tow trucks worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, officials said Monday evening.

Bucks County Coroner Patricia Campi and her staff extend their condolences to family, friends and loved ones of Ronca.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, Campi said.
