In a series of incidents Bensalem investigators called disturbing a King of Prussia man is behind bars Tuesday with police thinking there are possibly more victims in the area.
Matthew Bustin, 33 turned himself into authorities on Saturday, charged with felony burglary and trespass, stalking and one related summary offense. His alleged behavior was so alarming Bucks County Judge Lisa J. Gaier set his bail at 10 percent of $2 million which the alleged stalker was unable to post.
According to a Bensalem Police press release the horror for the victim started last April when she met Bustin through an online dating site. She told police that after a few dates she ended the relationship because she felt “uncomfortable” with him and noted to police “some odd behavior.” The victim told police she was so concerned about his behavior she blocked him on social media but he still continued to text her and show up randomly.

The victim after coming home from a vacation and found all the circuit breaker in her home was shut off, with her internet connection “manually” shut off. She called Bensalem Police to report the suspicious incident, court records show with the investigation going from unusual to downright scary.
Bensalem Detectives examined her vehicle and located a GPS tracker on the underside of the vehicle. Investigators filed a search warrant to recover data from the tracking device. Tracker data showed that it began transmitting the locations of the victim’s car on April 5, 2024, at the victim’s workplace in Montgomery County. The detective then obtained surveillance video from the business and observed a male get out of a black Honda Civic. He then walks towards the victim’s car, lies on the ground, reaches underneath the vehicle, and then returns to his car. The male and the Honda Civic match the description of Matthew Bustin and the vehicle he drives, police said in the criminal complaint.
A second search warrant was obtained by police for Bustin’s cellular data which showed the suspect was in the area of the victims home and workplace at least nine times, the criminal complaint says, without her knowledge after she ended the relationship.
Records were obtained from PECO, and it was found that the power to the victims home was turned off between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024, when the victim was on vacation. Bustin’s phone was at or near her residence in the same timeframe, court records allege.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Bustin and he turned himself in on June 1.
