With all due respect to the Bensalem Police Department effort to net the what some say worst kind of suspects, out there, pedos, this proactive community policing initiative has to be like, pardon the expression shooting fish in barrel, by announcing one more man is now facing serious prison time.
Curtis Evans, 44 years of age, is the latest, suspect metaphorically, and literally raising his hand and saying, yes I want to **** a 13 year-old girl, for police
According to police, on September 6, of this year, Evans, began a conversation on a social media/dating app with what he believed to be a 13-year-old female.
Shortly after the initial discussion, Evans started asking the child to meet him to go to a movie so he could kiss her in the theater. He also allegedly said, that he would take her hand and put it down his pants, then take her to his home after the movie to perform various sexual acts on her, including intercourse, said police.
Over the next several weeks, according to police, Evans requested nude photos of the fictious girl and described the specific sexually explicit images he wanted providing her with the names of particular applications she could download so that hide the photos he wanted her to send.
Evans, according to court records, continued to talk about meeting the 13-year-old and sent her a photograph of his genitalia.
On November 18, 2025, police say, Evans left Philadelphia home thinking it was going to be that special day, where he would bed the teen girl, driving to her home in Bensalem and told her that he was going to purchase condoms on the way.
Like a frozen cold shower, the never took place, and no children were in danger during this investigation.
Bensalem authorities obtained an arrest warrant Evans, charging him with Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Sexual Abuse of Children (Photo/Video), Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, and related offenses
At approximately 8:00 pm on December 3, 2025, the frozen shower of reality struck the would be and soon to be child sex offender in the form of Philadelphia Highway Patrol officer who arrested him on the Bensalem warrant.
Evans was transported to Police Headquarters, where he was arraigned by on call District Justice Charles Jonas and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $500,000 bail.
“Bensalem Police continue to proactively remove these predators from our streets to keep the children of Bensalem and the surrounding communities safe. We thank the Philadelphia Police Department for its assistance in this arrest” a police spokesperson said.
Evans is due in court on December 11 to answer to the charges.
