A Philadelphia man was charged with criminal mischief earlier this week connected to a January incident in which he shattered a window on a vehicle owned by the mother his child.

According to Bensalem Police Furman Thomas, 38 was charged by mail summons for shattering the window of a woman’s vehicle he fathered a child with.

The incident occurred in January at the Creekside Apartment complex where police were responding to report of domestic vandalism, court records show.

After Bensalem authorities arrived on scene they meet with the victim who told them Thomas showed up at the apartment complex uninvited and proceeded to bang on apartment doors searching for the victim, according to the criminal complaint.

The victim told Police Thomas was seen inside her black Jeep Liberty, in which a right- side read passenger door window was shattered, according to court documents,

Investigators sent DNA samples of blood found on the demolished glass for testing, confirming Thomas as the person leaving the blood droplets earlier this month.

Police noted the suspects DNA was on file with the laboratory due a previous unrelated contact with police.

Thomas was charged by mail summons on Tuesday and is scheduled to appear before District Justice Joseph P. Falcone on May 13 to answer for the criminal count.
