A license plate recognition notification alerted Bensalem Police to a reported stolen vehicle in the area which led police to arrest two men and a minor, on gun possession, theft charges, with one suspect getting away with all three suspected to be connected to a car -jacking in Philadelphia the night before.
According to police, on Thursday December 12 at approximately 8:13 p.m., Bensalem Police officers were notified of a stolen vehicle entering the Twp via a automated license plate reader notification. The white 2020 Toyota Corolla bearing PA Registration KDR7829 was traveling west on Street Road from Interstate 95. The vehicle was reportedly stolen during a gun-point carjacking in Philadelphia the night before. Patrol officers located the vehicle in the area of Hulmeville Road and Park Avenue. The vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the Franklin Commons Apartment complex and a traffic stop was initiated. The vehicle fled from police at a high rate of speed and drove to the rear of the apartment complex where other officers were positioned. The vehicle stopped and four males were dressed in black clothing fled on foot from the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. He was identified as a 16-year-old juvenile from Philadelphia. He had a Polymer “Ghost Gun” loaded with an extended magazine in his waistband when he was arrested. The juvenile was charged with firearms offenses, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding police, evading arrest on foot, and driving without a license. He was transported to Edison Juvenile Facility, police said.
Sincere Bennett, a 19-year-old male from Philadelphia, was also apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. A black Beretta 9mm handgun was located in his backpack. Bennett was charged with firearms offenses, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest on foot. He was arraigned by District Justice Falcone and bail was set at 10 percent of $350,000. He was remanded to Bucks County Prison, said police.

Malik Moore Ward, a 23-year-old male from Philadelphia, was also apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. Moore- Ward also physically resisted being arrested. He was charged with criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest on foot, and resisting arrest. He was arraigned by District Justice Falcone and bail was set at 10 percent of $250,000.00 He was remanded to Bucks County Prison, Bensalem authorities said.

A fourth suspect who ran from the vehicle was not located and remains ion the lamb as of Monday morning,
A silver Taurus 9mm handgun was found in the area in which the subjects fled on foot, police said in a press release.
Bensalem Police contacted the Philadelphia Police to provide them with information to assist them in their robbery/carjacking investigation, authorities said
