2nd Student Charged for Shooting Threats at Bristol Borough School

Families of students attending Snyder-Girotti Elementary School were angered by the lack of information the school district released about Monday afternoons “threat” at the school.

This was not like the situation on Sunday night he said, “we felt Sunday’s incident was a credible threat” he said.

The incident at the elementary school involved a student walking by a teacher who made a comment involving a threat, Shaffer said,

“At no time was any student or staff in danger. The student was removed from the classes and taken  \to an administrators office and police were called immediatley” he said.

I understand parents are on edge, but the we had the situation fully under control from the start.

The same day one Bristol Borough student was charged for threatening to shoot up a high school a second district student was charged  for making similar menacing comments at Snyder -Girotti Elementary School Monday morning.

Bristol Police were dispatched to the elementary school just after 11:20 am yesterday for a report of a sixth-grade student threatening to shoot the school up.

Borough officers with assistance from the county district attorney’s office and the Office of Juvenile Probation conducted an investigation resulting in a student being charged with two counts of terroristic threats.

The district high schools was closed closed Monday subsequent to a similar threat made against the boroughs high school and middle school.

Officer- in- Charge Sgt Joe Moors said there is was no connection between the two incidents and and the elementary school student in the most recent incident did not have access to any weapons.
