Bristol Borough Police chased a motorcyclist late Monday afternoon with the suspect fleeing onto the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Witnesses reported seeing the chase in progress around 3:30 pm on Route 13 with police in hot pursuit, saying the suspect was a man and had a female passenger.
A second witness who was coming off the turnpike exit and onto Rt 13 said he saw about four police vehicles in pursuit.
Another witness told this publication Borough Police stopped chasing the suspect as it entered onto the turnpike ramp at Green Lane.
A source who asked not to be identified said the chase was connected to an earlier incident on Hayes Street but had no further details.
As of Tuesday morning, according to online court records, borough police did not file any arrests with fleeing charges.
In recent weeks, area Police were involved in chases involving suspect Joseph Muccie who was subsequently arrested and charged. Muccie was scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing last week. Current online court records however do not provide any information about the hearings outcome of whether it was continued for another date.
Police did not respond to the publications request for comment on the reported Monday afternoon. chase as of Tuesday morning.
The publication recently asked Chief of Police , Joe Moors about the police departments suspect chase policies. Moors said at the time he wants to review the policy information before commenting publicly on such police procedure matters.
