Bristol Borough PD: Dog Owner has“Left the Area”

A dog fight on New Year’s Day led to a local woman leaving the area days later.

Social media in Bristol Borough exploded on New Year’s Day and the following day when reports surfaced about a dog fight in the area of Swain and Mifflin Streets on New Years Day.

Details and witness accounts, etc on one post about the incident totaled near 350 late Thursday.

Bristol Borough Animal Control was seen visiting a Swain Street residence, Thursday attempting to make contact with the owner of the two dogs who was described as a “petite” woman, who had little control over the dogs she was walking as they “pulled her all over the place” one area resident said.

No one answered the visit from the borough official at the Swain Street address.

Friday morning Bristol Police said they also checked and said they were told, the dogs and woman “left the area,” for points unknown.

Bristol Police would not say whether the matter remains open for investigation.
