Bristol Borough Vacant House Fire Under Investigation, Officials say

A reported chimney fire Saturday in Bristol Borough at a vacant three story building is under investigation fire officials said.

Fire companies from Bristol Borough and Bristol Township were dispatched to the 200 block of Washington Street at 3:29 p.m.

Fire crews arriving found smoke coming from the attic area of the three story brick dwelling and companies went into service to locate and extinguish the fire.
Bristol Borough Fire Chief  Herb Slack said the fire was contained to the attic in the home that sits on the corner of Washington and Wood Streets.
Bristol Borough Code Enforcement was contacted to follow-up, Slack said, adding  the fire appears to have been accidental and is under investigation.
Fire companies were on scene for approximately one hour and no injuries were reported, the borough fire chief said.
