Bristol Borough businesses and employees were cited last week for selling tobacco products to minors.

The citations originally initiated by state investigators were issued during the week of June 20, public court records reveal.

The citations came to light through a public safety officials tip to Lower Bucks Source, the week state officials visited the Bristol businesses.

The businesses and persons cited are as follows:

Saujan Pate of Bensalem; Deon Beverages: Karen Ostarticki, of Burlington, NJ; G-Fuel, Gaurav Parashar of Trenton, New Jersey. Valero Gas

The Pennsylvania Department of Health performs compliance checks regularly and by statute fines for minors purchasing and or businesses selling to minors can be prohibitive.

Bristol Borough Chief of Police Joe Moors said he welcomes the assist from state investigators.

“We welcome appreciate, and will assist any outside law enforcement agency whose duties bring them to Bristol,” Moors said.
