A Bristol Borough Fire Company truck on its way to a vehicle fire Wednesday sideswiped a U.S, Postal truck, causing damage to both vehicles.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. when first responders were dispatched to the 200 block of Mill Street for a vehicle engulfed in flames.
Racing up Pond Street, the fire truck struck a U.S. Postal delivery truck just beyond the Dorrance Street intersection. The fire truck’s passenger side smashed the postal truck’s rear-view window.
Meanwhile, firefighters were able to quickly put the apparent vehicle engine fire out with no reported injuries.
It is the second vehicle fire, crews were dispatched to on Mill Street this month.
Fire officials did not specify the specifics of the damages to the Bristol Borough Fire Association truck as of publication time.
