Bristol First Responders visit 21st Century Campers

Children who participate in Bristol’s 21st Century Camp were  treated to a day with first responders at Snyder-Girotti Elementary School last week.

Representatives from the Bristol Borough Police Department, Bristol Fire Companies, the Bucks County Rescue Squad and the K-9 Unit from the Bristol Township Police Department were on hand for the visit.

It’s customary for the department to visit with campers, yearly, this visit included  additional first responders.

Children were able speak with first responders, ask questions, sound off sirens, explore first responder vehicles and speak with officer Keith Margerum and K-9  Drago.

After speaking with first responders and getting pointers on safety issues a volleyball game ensued

Bristol Borough Chief of Police has said since taking over the helm as chief one of his, and the police departments priorities and highlight partnerships the department holds with other first responder agencies.

Moors said, we want all the borough’s kids to know first responders are here to help them anytime they have a question or concern.

“It’s important for us to engage proactively with borough children” he said.
