A 37 year-old Bristol man is facing serious charges as he stands accused of a sexually assaulting a woman he has known for years.
Angelo Peter Pollace III was arraigned last Friday by on-call District Judge Daniel Baranoski on felony sexual assault, strangulation and two misdemeanor indecent assault charges and related offenses. He was remanded to the custody of Buck County Correctional Facility unable to post the 10 percent of $100,000.00. bail set.
On Friday June 3, 2026, at approximately 4 p.m., a Bristol Borough Police officer was approached in a Radcliffe Street parking lot by the complainant/survivor who reported she had been sexually assaulted by a longtime friend in April.
The victim told police, according to the probable cause affidavit, on April 27, 2026, at approximately 8:35 p.m., she met Pollace outside his place of employment, on Market Street, in Bristol. Pollace then drove her to his residence Cedar Street residence.
The complainant said going to his residence was a result of a misunderstanding, however, because they had maintained a lengthy friendship, she did not view the situation as unusual or threatening, police said.
The complainant said at approximately 8:53 p.m., while she was seated on one couch and Pollace was seated on another. He suddenly stood up. She said she did not initially notice Pollace had lowered his pants and was fully aroused.
Pollace, the complainant said, forcefully grabbed her head and attempted to force himself on her. She stated that Pollace made numerous attempts to compel her to perform oral sex, but she continuously verbally refused.
She told police Pollace became angry and placed one hand around neck, and began strangling her. She said the choking became so severe that she was unable to breathe, began losing consciousness and started to blackout.

She signaled for him to stop, at which time he slightly released his grip, police wrote in court papers.
The complainant said Pollace leaned toward her face, and allegedly bit both sides of her cheeks, causing bite marks and bruising. Subsequently, Pollace allegedly, ripped her shirt down, and bit her nipple to a point that she felt as if it was going to tear off. Despite the overpowering assault, she was eventually able to break free from the suspect and fled the residence.
According to the probable cause, police reviewed photographs provided by the victim that she stated were taken shortly after the assault. The photographs depicted injuries consistent with the account she provided. including visible bite marks and bruising to both cheeks, injuries to her neck, and petechiae consistent with pressure having been applied to her neck during the alleged strangulation.
The photographs further documented redness, bruising, and other visible injuries consistent with the physical assault described by the victim, police said.
Pollace is due back in court on September 30 for preliminary hearing and has no attorney of record, according to online court records.
