Bristol Man Dies After Vehicle Accident

A vehicle crash in Bristol Borough led to a medical emergency with the driver of the vehicle dying despite rescue efforts,

The accident occurred at the intersection of Old Route 13 and Mill St earlier today, police said. As police were interviewing the driver he became unresponsive. Borough Police quickly removed the 65 year-old local man began to apply CPR and a automated external defibrillator (AED)  was employed, said police.

Officers continued to work on the man in cardiac distress until the arrival of the Bucks County Rescue Squad. The rescue squad continued with life sustaining measures until the victim was transported to Lower Bucks Hospital where he later died, police said.

First Responders assisting on scene was the Bristol Borough Fire Department and Bensalem EMS.
