Bristol Man Gets Probation for Illegal Gun Possession

A Bristol Borough Man has plead guilty to one count of possessing a firearm while prohibited on Thursday for a July 2020 incident in Bristol Borough.

On Thursday Kevin G. Brannigan, 64, entered a guilty plea in front of Bucks County Common Please Judge Raymond F. McHugh.

He was  sentenced to 6 months probation for the misdemeanor guilty plea.

The charge against Brannigan came after an investigation handled by Bucks County Detectives stemming from an incident outside of the business his family has owned – Klean Kars by Kevin- for at least 40 years in July of 2020.

Borough Police were called to the business for reports of a verbal dispute on July 31 between two groups of men. The incident and incendiary comments were allegedly recorded and shared on social media sites.

According to court papers Bucks County Detectives said the “video clearly showed”  Brannigan displaying  “a shotgun-style firearm” in his hands while outside during the argument.

Detectives executed a search warrant on Klean Kars by Kevin days later, and recovered a Winchester shotgun inside the business, according to court records.

Investigators tested and confirmed  the weapon to be a viable firearm, court records show.

Brannigan allegedly told police  he had the gun during the argument because “there was three against two, and if one of them enter the garage that they are going to bite it.”

Due to a past conviction following a Bucks County Detectives investigation in 2004, Brannigan cannot possess a firearm lawfully.

Court documents show in 2004  Brannigan plead guilty to prohibited offensive weapon and conspiracy. He was sentenced to two years of probation.

Brannigan served as a Bristol Borough Code Enforcement officer for about 5 years and has served as a volunteer fire fighter for a number of years in Bristol.

The man is abslute trash and always has been.

He NEVER should have been a code enforcement inspector, especially after his felony conviction! That is pure old boy Bristol network for you!

It is well known that Kevin would regularly abuse his position whenever he could, and committed property trespass all the time.

Everything is MUCH BETTER with him gone!

    Good riddance!

I’m not sure how this twisted individual obtained such a position as an inspector or any public service work. He is a felon, racist, hothead and so unprofessional and I would never want him to represent this community. Having been new to the community I had to file a complaint of his disgusting, inappropriate behavior and action in his former role. So glad to know he is no longer there and justice have been served. Thank you Ms. Karma.
