Bristol Police Close 2 Cases

The Bristol Borough Police Department closed two cases just as the Fourth of July celebrations lit up last week. 

In the first case, police said a 28 year-old Levittown man turned himself in shorty after media reports circulated about the hit-and-run incident last week. 

Police say the vehicle drove through a fence on Bridalpath Road, fleeing on Green Lane towards Bristol Township last week. 

The motorist stated that he was texting while driving which caused the crash. 

Motor vehicle charges are pending, police said. 

In the second case Bristol authorities said they identified all three juveniles, aged 15 for setting a trash can on fire in front of the Wawa located on Farragut Ave and Green Lane last month

In a release, police said the trio of boys and their parents cooperated with police during their investigation. 

The juveniles told authorities that they had lit fireworks near the store and then discarded the remains into a trash can which subsequently began to smoke. 

The trio of 15 year-olds then saw police car, panicked and fled the area.

All three juveniles were cited for their conduct. police said.
