Bristol Township first responders teamed up to rescue a man who ran out of the Lower Bucks Hospital emergency room with an IV in his arm into Silver Lake Monday night.
First responders were dispatched at 8 pm to Silver Lake for a report of a man who had run out of the emergency room with an IV in his arm.
Bucks County Rescue Squad paramedics, Croydon and Third District Fire companies were dispatched for a marine rescue, first responders said.
Bristol Township and Bristol Borough Police patrol units were setup at strategic locations surrounding the lake on Rt 13, Bath Rd, and Lakeland Ave. for rescue operations.
The man, described as being in his mid 20s, about 6 feet tall, and wearing all black clothing, was about to be discharged when for reasons only known to him, he headed for the hospital exit and jumped into the lake.
