Bristol Woman Killed In New Jersey Crash

A Bristol woman was killed on a South Jersey highway Sunday night, State Police said.

New Jersey State Police said the driver and passenger in a BMW were killed after a crash along Route 55 south.

State Police said at around 10:55 p.m., Ayzia J. Toledo, 22, of Bristol, was driving with Henrietta F. Carter, 22, of Darby, in the front passenger seat, when the crash occurred.

State Police said the preliminary investigation shows Toledo lost control of the BMW she was driving in the area of mile marker 57.1, leaving the roadway, flipping over and then striking a tree.

Both Toledo and Carter were, were pronounced dead at the scene, New Jersey authorities said.

A passenger in the back seat survived the crash and was transferred to a medical facility for the treatment of minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
