A 40-year-old Bristol man was arrested early Thursday charged for beating a man with a nightstick and then attempting to get rid of the bloodied evidence by throwing it on the roof of a Penn Street home, police say.
Ross Walker was arraigned by District Judge David J. Chichilitti just as the courthouse opened Wednesday morning. He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, possession of an instrument of crime and several traffic-related offenses.
According to the probable cause, Borough Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Penn Street. They were met by a male who was bleeding from his mouth and face. The man told police Ross Walker and *Dimitri Jamison attacked him. He alleged that Jamison held him while Walker beat him with a baseball bat and then the attackers fled the area on foot running away on Pond Street.
EMS arrived on scene to evaluate the victim’s injuries which he declined, police said in court papers.
Officers Chris Tehan and Montanna Briehler canvassed the area for the suspects, coming up empty.
At approximately 2:15 a.m. police were dispatched a second time to the Penn St address. As Bristol Borough Police arrived on scene, they observed a black Dodge pickup truck bearing an Arizona temporary registration.
Police saw the truck drive on the sidewalk at a moderate rate of speed, forcing the victim to run into the roadway to avoid being struck. The officers made contact with Walker, was detaining him without incident. The victim informed officers that Walker had attempted to conceal the weapon used in the earlier assault by throwing it on to a residential roof.
Briehler recovered a police-style nightstick from the rooftop of the Penn Street residence. The weapon was secured and vouchered as evidence.
Further investigation revealed that the vehicle operated by Walker was not currently registered which expired on Dec.3. 2025. Additionally, Walker’s Pennsylvania operating privilege was found to be suspended, police said. He has a April 1 court date set to answer to the charges.
*Jamison was not charged in this incident .
