Updated: Bristol Shooting Under Investigation, New Details Released

Updated 10 p.m. Bristol Borough Police released an image of the suspects vehicle and additional information  about Tuesday evenings shooting on Wood St. 

The pictured vehicle is a cream colored SUV, 

Chief of Police, Steve Henry said the suspect fired rounds after exiting his vehicle at a group of individuals standing on the sidewalk, which included a nine-year old girl. 

Police provided more details on the description of the shooting suspect describing him as a 5’10 black male with dreadlocks. 

Police are asking any witnesses to contact Detective Davis at 215-788-7813 ext 2425. Witnesses or those have information about the suspect can also submit anonymous tips by clicking here.

Investigators are still trying to determine the intended target (s) of the shooting, officials said.  

 

 

Bristol Borough Police are investigating a shooting that took place Tuesday evening.

Chief of Police Steve Henry said the shooting took place just after 5:15 pm on the 230 block of Wood St. Henry said there were no injuries reported, but a residence was struck by gunfire.
Police say they are searching for a white Crossover SUV, possibly a 2006 model driven by a black male. Witnesses walking in the area when the shooting took place said they heard between four and five shots fired.
One witness within 100 yards of the shooting said there were pedestrians on the street that appeared to be the target of the wouldbe shooter.
