Coroner Rules Bristol Infant’s Death Homicide

Credit: Go Fund Me

Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck announced Thursday her findings  into the May 25, 2023, death of the 4-month-old infant  Timothy Sullivan  is homicide.

Multiple blunt force injuries was the cause she said.  Bucks  findings align with those of the Lower Bucks Hospital Doctor who examined Timothy after he was raced to the hospital by first responders.  He told police that Timothy’s injuries  were indicative of a “battered child.”

Father Tyler Sullivan 30 appeared in Bristol Borough District Court and waived his right to a preliminary hearing last month on charges he beat his son to death on May 25th.

Sullivan told police the bruising on his sons body came from bumping into  a rocking chair. The infant boy’s mother said she had seen bruising that didn’t align with  the version of events he told her.

“”Baby T.S'” death stirred the emotions of many in Bristol.  Stephanie Scancella was one such person. She proposed the idea of a candlelight vigil and hours later many arm and arm came about 50 and came to mourn the death of the four month old.

“Our office extends its  deepest condolences to the infant’s family and friends during this difficult time as they grieve this  unimaginable loss.”

Sullivan’s next court appearance is August 25 in Doylestown at the Court of Common Pleas for his formal arraignment.
