Dollar Tree Attempted Burglary Causes Damage, But Thieves Get Nothing (add pics)

Sometimes crime really doesn’t pay, as was the case with a November 25th break-in at the Dollar Tree located in the Bristol Park Shopping Center.

The break-in came to light earlier this week when multiple sources contacted Lower Bucks Source with details about the strange but failed break-in.

Each of the sources requested anonymity and in so doing, provided LBS with images from within the store taken hours after the suspect (s) left the store empty handed.

When they busted through the sheet rocked wall, they walked over and on boxes filled with holiday merchandise to the front of the store, sources said, heading right for the office where these clowns thought the safe was located. The darkened two-sided glass, which looks like a mirror was then punched or kicked out, with them getting to climb into office.

But the safe isn’t set up where they thought it was, the sources said.

“It must have been like a Keystones Cops episode, because they didn’t steal anything” the source said.

Bristol Borough Police Chief Steve Henry confirmed earlier this week much of what the sources had alleged in their communication with LBS.

“Yes, there was a burglary, however, it appears no items were taken,” he said.

Henry said the investigation remained open declining to comment on whether the department had any suspects.

“I told you I wasn’t lying,” said one of the sources on follow-up, “whoever broke in did a lot of work for nothing, except for the damages.”

Anyone with information regarding the burglary at the Bristol Dollar Store can contact Detective Billy Davis at 215-788-7813 ext. 2425.

Thankfully, this time crime didn’t pay.
