A 20-year-old Croydon man accused of stabbing a minor girl earlier this month had a “good news, bad news” court appearance in a hearing at Bristol Borough District Court on Wednesday.

Anthony Krecko appeared with his attorney from the Bucks County Public Defender’s office before Honorable Judge Daniel J Finello at a preliminary hearing yesterday.  The good news?

During the hearing, the public defender requested Krecko’s bail be reduced from 10 percent of $200,000.00 to 10 percent of $50,000, which Finello approved. Krecko, according to the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania Web Portal, has never been arrested as an adult. Records for minors are sealed unless charged as an adult.

The semi-bad news was that the bail modification did not immediately lead to Krecko’s release from Bucks County Correctional Facility.

The suspect also “waived” his charges through his attorney.

According to the criminal complaint, on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, Bristol Township Police were dispatched to a report of a stabbing that had just occurred at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Main Avenue in the Croydon section of the township.

Krecko, according to the criminal complaint, stabbed an underage female victim with a knife on the outside of her left thigh. This caused a deep laceration. Allegedly he admitted to police that he stabbed the victim with a knife in a Miranda interview, police said. He was arrested and jailed the same day of the alleged knife attack, according to county court records.

Krecko now heads to the Bucks County Court of Pleas on a felony charge of aggravated assault. He also has one misdemeanor count of simple assault and a related summary offense. His next court appearance has yet to be scheduled.
