A tractor-trailer took out power lines and utility poles Friday causing power outages and the Burlington – Bristol Bridge to close for about one hour,officials said
The accident happened just before noon on Veterans Highway between the bridge and State Road in Bristol Township.

First responders from the Croydon Fire company said a truck took down several wires and poles along the roadway.
Bristol Fire Police set up detours shortly thereafter announcing the bridge was closed and that power in Bristol Park Shopping Center was lost.
PECO crews were on the scene as of 1 p.m. making needed repairs.Traffic flow on the bridge resumed just after 1 pm officials said.
