A wind driven brush fire behind the Bowlero Bowling alley on the 2500 block of Bristol Pike in Croydon took several hours for fire crews to contain Friday.

The fire came on the heels of Bristol area first responders spending all night Wednesday into Thursday putting out brush fires in the Delhaas Woods

The National Weather Service issued a fire watch alert for Friday forecasting gusty winds and low relative humidity conditions.

Emergency Services Ron Roberts was on scene Friday capturing first responders from Croydon, Bristol Borough, Bensalem, and Middletown Townships as well as Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources  (DCNR).

The National Weather Service issued a fire watch alert for Friday forecasting gusty winds and low relative humidity in the dry conditions.

First responders had to return to the same exact location the following morning to take on hot spots that were flaring up, Roberts said.

One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation at a local medical facility and released shortly thereafter.
