The Bristol Township School District reached out to the Bristol Township Police Department last week saying 125 students were in major need of clothing as they were considered homeless.

Step in Philanthropist Gene Epstein who supports a myriad of Lower Bucks County based causes especially to “our community” officials said.

His response was, “these kids need help, get them everything they need.”

With the assistance of Epstein, the Bristol Township PBA, and a few good community members in the checkout line, Township Police purchased a large amount of clothing and basic essentials for Bristol area students.

Bristol Borough Chief of Police Joe Moors assisted with the purchase as those police departments continue to unite in an effort to help all in need, a Twp Police spokesperson said.

The effort has also now led to the launching of a student-focused clothing drive beginning Monday, February 2, officials announced.

Any clean clothes, even if previously worn, can be dropped off at the Bristol Twp Police records department hallway or at the Bristol Township School Admin Building on Green Lane. See the flyer below for all the details!
