Girls Soccer Team, Borough Police PBA & ShopRite team up to Support Families in Need







The Yardley-Makefield Spirit (YMS) 14 and under girls soccer team partnered up with the Bristol Borough Police Benevolent Association, and ShopRite of Yardley to help borough families in need on Sunday, demonstrating the essence of the the teams name.
YMS collected donations and purchased necessities such as eggs, milk, bread, and of course the traditional holiday ham, and additional food staples to provide several borough families experiencing challenges meals.
As an added bonus, Yardley ShopRite donated $40 gift cards to each of the benefiting families good, at to use at any of their super market locations. ,
The girls delivered the goods to families in the borough yesterday mid-afternoon.
Vice President of the Bristol Borough PBA, Chuck Palmer thanked Shop Rite for their donation to the cause and noted Julia Licciardello, organized the effort.
