Person Killed by Train in Bristol, Saturday

A person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Saturday afternoon.

The fatality occurred in the area of 400 Howell Street, witnesses told Lower Bucks Source.

The identity of the person struck was not made public., nor was a reason for the incident.

Bristol Borough Police assisted Amtrak authorities as there were no additional injuries reported as trains traveling on the Northeast Corridor were held up for about 90 minutes, officials said.

Its the second death by train in Bristol Borough in recent months as a person was struck in August. Cause of that death, and name of the person struck was not released.
