September Search Warrant Leads to Arrest of Bristol Man



A 26 year-old Bristol man was arrested and charged last week after Bristol Borough Police served a search warrant on his home in September.
Alexander Leco was arraigned Wednesday of last week by Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr. on one count of two counts of felony drug distribution, two counts of intent to possess a controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the court filing on September 21st Bristol Borough Police executed a search warrant at Leco’s home on the 600 block of Wood Street.
In the backyard police sized marijuana plants and then headed in to his second floor apartment and entered the suspects bedroom where they found his Pennsylvania Stare identification and related documents identifying the space as his room, court records show.
From Leco’s bedroom Police seized two glass jars filled with marijuana, grinders, two safes, a shoe box filled with U.S currency, Digital Scales, a pack of clear baggies used for packaging purposes, three baggies with filled with a white powdery substance, a knife with white residue on it, a loaded gun with holster and ammunition, according to the criminal complaint.
In the basement of the Wood St residence Police found a large glass jar filled with marijuana stored in a cabinet with white doors, said Police in court papers.
The basement area was divided into two halves, one side a bedroom for person not charged and the second half consisted of a game room that also has several “bongs” and more jars filled with marijuana, a back tents with hydro equipment, lighting and filtering system, and a marijuana plant, Police wrote in court papers.
All items seized by Police were sent to NMS labs for testing, Police said in court paperwork.
Marked and unmarked police vehicles cornered the intersection with law enforcement vehicles, blocking the view of onlookers.
Police were seen speaking to two men on Penn Street that day.
Images sent to Lower Bucks Source by concerned citizens show police in front of Leco’s home and in the backyard. The concerned citizen asked the images to not be published for fear they would identify him/her.
Police said at the time of the activity said hey would not on the specifics of the law enforcement presence but did say there was no active threat to public safety to ally local fears.
On Monday Police declined to comment on the arrest nor would they confirm Leco’s arrest was connected to the September raid.
It’s the second time since April a search warrant led to the arrest of Bristol resident this year.
In February Police executed a search warrant at the home of Robert Flynn. Flynn entered a guilty plea last week and is now serving up to 23 months in Bucks County Jail.
Leco was arraigned and released on unsecured bail of $5000.00. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on February 1 in Bristol Borough District Court.
