Pennsylvania State Police say the cause of a  Coyne Chemical tractor trailer overturning and closing roadways down for 14 hours was speeding while taking a turn onto a Turnpike ramp from I-95.

The accident, which caused flammable fluids to leak out on to the roadway, brought busy rush hour traffic to a standstill, and brought out first responders from throughout Lower Bucks County, occurred just after 6 p.m Friday evening.

The tractor trailer exited I-95 southbound onto Pennsylvania Turnpike at exit 42 southbound and was “driving too fast while negotiating a left curve,” police said. The truck fell on to its right side which on impact caused hazardous materials to leak out, state police said in a release.

Approximately 12o feet of guide rail was wrecked due to the crash, according to State Police, and one light post was damaged.
