2 New Bristol Twp Officers Sworn In Thursday Night

Two new Bristol Township Police officers were sworn in  at Thursday nights Council meeting.

Chief of Police Robert Coulton said officer Junior Revas-Benton and officer Michael Leonhauser began working the streets in  August.

Revas-Benton grew up in Rhode Island, excelling as an athlete.  After graduating high school in 2002 he moved to Philadelphia and entered the Temple University Police Academy.  He graduated and began his career as policemen working full-time for the Tullytown Borough Police for seven months before joining Bristol Townships Police force where he is currently assigned to the patrol division, officials said.

Leonhauser was born and raised in Bristol Twp and is a class of 2020 Truman High School Graduate. He obtained his A.S degree in Criminal Justice in May of 2022. He comes from a long family line of Police officers that inspired him to join the law enforcement ranks, Coulton said.

“We look forward to officer Leonhauser serving his hometown for the next 25 to 30 years,” Coulton said earning laughs from those attending the meeting,

Former Bristol Twp Police Lt. and now District Court Judge Terry Hughes swore in both officers.

Coulton thanked Council and the public for the continued support of the department.

Council President Craig Bowen welcomed the officers aboard and thanked them for their commitment to the Police Department.
