Alleged Bristol Township Shooter Identified, Arrest Warrant Issued

Gunshots were heard in Bristol Township Tuesday night, a female victim was admitted to a hospital and by Wednesday, the Bristol Township Police had identified and obtained an Arrest Warrant for the alleged shooter.

The suspect is identified by authorities as Jason E. Gater, a white male 47 years of age. He is also 6′ and weighs 230, balding and has hazel eyes. He has tattoos on both sides of his neck, both arms and hands.  He is armed, said Lieutenant S. Cosgrove.

Charges lodged for Gater are five felony counts – two for aggravated assault, two for firearm violations and one for criminal trespass with two lesser counts of simple assault, according to the court records.
