Bloomsdale Fire Damages Two Homes, Displaces Three, Fire Officials Say

A house fire in the Bloomsdale section of  Bristol Township Friday afternoon damaged two homes, displaced three people and was caused by an extension cord Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 58o0 block of Fleetwing Wing Drive just before 12 pm for a reported dwelling fire.

Fire crews arrived to find a working fire in the first floor living room. The fire was brought under control in about 30 mins, Edgely Fire Company officials said.

The home suffered significant damage, with the adjoining residence smoke damage, Dippolito said, adding there were no injuries  with three residents safely escaping the fire.

The Red Cross are assisting the displaced residents, the fire marshal said.

“Remember working smoke detectors save lives” said Edgely fire officials.
