The Bristol Township School District officially announced the addition of two new School Resource Officers (SRO’s), one of which is married to the Bristol Borough School Resource Officer.
The school board approved the addition of the SRO’s at its August meeting, Chief of Police C.J. Winik told Lower Bucks Source in an as-yet-to-be-published story.
As the new school year commences, the Bristol Township School Community is happy to welcome two new School Resource Officers, Daulton Brady and Jennifer Jacker, to work with the district’s students and staff, school district officials said Thursday.
“An SRO is more than a police officer assigned to a school,” Winik said. “When properly integrated into the school community, an SRO becomes a trusted partner in protecting students, supporting staff, preventing problems, and helping ensure that schools remain safe places to learn.”
“Not only do they provide an immediate law enforcement presence when serious safety concerns arise, but, just as importantly, an SRO’s role extends beyond emergency response,” BTSD Superintendent Michael Nitti stated. “SROs also serve as valuable educational and professional resources, working with our staff and students on the many issues that emerge throughout the school day and year.”
Brady has been with the Bristol Township Police Department for four years, following five years of service with the SEPTA Transit Police Department. He brings a strong commitment to serving the community in which he lives. Outside of work, Officer Brady enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his family. As a School Resource Officer, he hopes to make a positive impact on students in the community and build trust between them and the police department.
Brady’s wife, Ashley Beck, has been SRO at Snyder Girotti Elementary School in Bristol Borough for four years. Her positive presence, parents have said is immeasurable.
Jacker, officials said, has been a police officer with the Bristol Township Police Department for more than five years and brings a strong commitment to serving the community and building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
School District officials said, outside of work, Jacker enjoys spending time with her family and her German Shepherd. She also enjoys traveling and has visited ten different countries and territories. As an SRO, Officer Jacker hopes to be a familiar, approachable, and trusted resource for students and families, a spokesperson said.

“We are excited to welcome Officers Brady and Jacker into our school community and are very appreciative of the support of Chief Winik,” Superintendent Nitti added. “We look forward to the positive work they will do with our students.”
Every student deserves to attend school in an environment that is safe, secure, and focused on learning. A well-designed School Resource Officer (SRO) program can play an important role in creating that environment, a spokesperson for the school district said.
In an as-yet-to-be-puyblished story, Winik said, police officers will also be engaged with students, families and officials that a part of the Cyber Charter school system. He said it is a matter of education and public safety.
