Bristol Twp Man Found Guilty by Jury of Repeatedly Raping Girl

A 52-year-old man was convicted on Wednesday, by a  Bucks County Jury finding he repeatedly raped a girl in Bristol Township over a two year period.

Carlos Navedo,  was found guilty of rape of a child, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, and corruption of minors.

The trial began on Monday. Following the conviction, Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr scheduled sentencing for Jan. 30 after Navedo undergoes an evaluation from the Sex Offender Assessment Board, a spokesperson from the Bucks County District Attorney’s office said.

The investigation found that Navedo raped the girl from January 2021 to December 2023.

The victim, who is now 13, courageously testified on the first day of trial, said,  she was 10 or 11 years old when Navedo first raped her. She said he continued to sexually assault her on other occasions and also would show her pornography.

Navedo was arrested in January, following an investigation by Bristol Township Detective John Jennings. This case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Brittney Kern.
