Greyson Poorman was recognized by police officials officers and their dogs at a council meeting earlier this month and was presented with a commemorative plaque acknowledging his support of the Bristol Twp Police K-9 unit.

Greyson and his grandfather, Russel , met Cpl. Josh Bausch and his K-9 partner Axel at Five Points after the Eagles’ won the NFC Championship game.

Greyson approached Bausch to express his love for dogs. From there the two remained in touch

“Grayson and his family have a campground or have a camper up at a Sun Valley campground in Narvon, Pennsylvania,” Bausch explained to council members. “The campground has a fundraiser every year where they donate. They split the money that they earn. They donate to two different foundations or organizations.”

Greyson stood up at the campgrounds annual fundraiser meeting and asked if some of the proceeds could be donated to the police canine unit.
Over $3000 was raised for the unit that consists of two teams with a third currently in training

“The money you helped raise for us is the beginning of the future of our unit,” Bausch said. “We are very appreciative of that” Bausch said.

The Cpl  also bestowed a special title on the young man.

“You are now the first and newest, well, the first ever honorary member of the Bristol Township Canine Unit,” Bausch told Greyson. “Thank you for all your support, dedication, and love to our unit.”
