Emily Rose Lynch, 42 of Levittown is well known to the Bristol Township Police Department and she became reacquainted with them last week as she now stands accused of assaulting a Bucks County Children and Youth Case Worker during a home visit last week.
Judge Robert P. Wagner arraigned Lynch on two counts of aggravated assault, and misdemeanor counts of simple assault, reckless endangerment and a summary offense for harassment remanding her to Bucks County Correctional with bail set at 10 percent of $2 million originally and now at 10 percent of $250.000.00 after a bail reduction hearing on Thursday.
According to the criminal complaint, police responded to the 1900 block of Lincoln Street for a reported assault of a Children and Youth caseworker who wanted to meet with Lynch about an upcoming court hearing, and health related concerns. The caseworker told police Lynch appeared intoxicated and could smell the odor of alcohol on her breath.
While in the home speaking with Lynch the caseworker said she took her eyes off Lynch momentarily and the next thing she knew Lynch was on her grabbing her chest, earrings and hair. The caseworker said Lynch pinned her to a locked door by the face. She was terrified as she felt pain shooting through her chest so she screamed out for help. A neighbor came, opened the door, the caseworker fell onto the porch and lost her glasses. She got back up and called police, probable cause alleges.
Detective John Jennings who noted in the probable cause due to “prior investigations” at the Lincoln St. address he responded with several other officers.
Jennings said in court records when he met with the county employee she had visibly deep red scratches from her chest to her neckline from the attack.
According to a LevittownNow.com article Lynch was sentenced to a year of probation after pleading guilty to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was ordered to pay about $415.00 in restitution, undergo mental health treatment, and take medications as directed. She was initially charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft in September of 2023.
Lynch is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on September 10 and has no attorney of record, according to online court records.
