Croydon Burglary Thwarted by 11 Year-Olds Call for Help

An 11 year old  middle schooler at his State Road home in Croydon it is safe to say was taught well and  apparently remained focused when would be burglar (s) tried to break into his families home late Monday morning.

According to Bristol Twp Police at around 9:30 a.m. a burglary was reported on 2100 block of State Road.  An 11 year-old was home and heard glass breaking. The middle schooler called his father  who told him to call 911, Sgt Jason Mancuso said.

Police arrived on scene and saw a back window was smashed and officers cleared the home for safety purposes.

A K9 from Middletown Twp was called in and did a grid search of the area Mancuso said with negative results.

Tipsters reported to Lower Bucks Source police officers were seen chasing a suspect (s) in the immediate area surrounding State Road around 9:30 – 9:45,  with guns drawn, police,  however did not confirm that information.
