Croydon Man Charged with Child Porn Related Offenses, Has One Charged Dropped, Waives Prelim

A  Croydon man charged with kiddie porn related offenses in August for child porn related waived his right to preliminary hearing on Wednesday.as prosecutors dropped one felony count against him.

William Henry Brown III 38, was arraigned last month on one count of disseminating images/photos of child sex acts, child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.

On Wednesday his attorney Thomas Nelson Logan, Esquire, waived Brown’s preliminary hearing, online records show. 

Bucks County prosecutors dropped a single count of the dissemination of photo/film of a child performing sex acts, according to court records.

In June the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that messaging service Kik reported a user uploading numerous child porn files through their app, court records show.

Bucks County Detectives received information on the files showing videos of children involved in sex acts, authorities said.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations agency,  served a summons upon Verizon for subscriber information linked to the files uploaded to Kik in late June court papers alleged,.

In July, Verizon returned information that linked the account to Brown’s Croydon address,, authorities wrote in court papers.

According to court records on July 13, Bucks County detectives seized Brown’s cell phones and his HP desktop computer.

Brown told investigators his Kik account has been closed because he clicked on a link that contained child porn, according to the criminal filing.

Bucks County Detectives said they located files of child porn on devices Brown owns.

Brown who  is out on  unsecured bail while his case is pending is scheduled for formal arraignment at the Court of Common Pleas in Doylestown on November 28.
