A Levittown man whose drunken life escapades have been well documented over the last 12 years is back in custody after he was released from jail about six weeks ago.

Robert McManus, 58 was taken back into custody on charges of  theft, disorderly conduct, posted defiant trespass, and  public drunkenness connected to a November 16 incident at the Wawa gas station located at 3800 Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Levittown.

Upon arrival at the popular covariance store  police saw McManus, seated in the dining area. He had a half-eaten hot dog, an opened Four Loko alcoholic beverage, and there was vomit on the floor near his immediate vicinity,.according to court  records.

Officers on scene asked McManus if he had paid for the food and beverages he consumed. He allegedly said,  he did,‘t not know he had to pay for them.

Based on this admission and the totality of the circumstances, McManus was arrested.

During a search incident to arrest, police recovered a BeatBox alcoholic beverage from the McManus’ sweater pocket. While escorting him to the patrol vehicle, he began shouting derogatory comments, including calling the two officers “b**ches,” making racial slurs, and spitting in an officer’s direction, narrowly missing, according to court records.

McManus, according to the probable cause  had a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his person.

Investigation further revealed that he had been formally trespassed from this Wawa location prior to this incident and was issued a written notice of trespass prohibiting him from being on the property.

According to court records, McManus is also banned from the Giant supermarket in the Fairless Hills section of  Falls Township.

Judge Kevin P. Wagner set bail at 10 percent of $75,000.00 remanding him back to Bucks County Prison with a December court date.
