A Philadelphia man was charged with aggravated assault, after allegedly pulling a gun on the father of the child being returned to his mother during a child-custody exchange last week that went sideways in Levittown.

Bristol Township Police were called to the 7-Eleven  store at 7101 Bristol Pike in Levittown just after 4:30 p.m. on March 2 for a report of a gun being pulled during a child custody exchange they apparently went sideways.

According to the probable cause, arriving officers observed  suspect Carlos Calderon, 19,  and his girlfriend outside the 24/7 convenience store.

Calderon, according to police, had  his hand in his pockets, and was repeatedly ordered to take his hands out of his pockets. As the police were instructing  him to “show his hands” he stepped towards the other side of the parking lot. An officer quickly grabbed him taking him to the  ground discovering what appeared to be a black handgun in his waistband.

At first glance, the gun looked like a Glock, but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a pellet gun, police wrote in court records. Calderon was then taken into custody and allegedly had a “joint” in his pants pocket.

The child’s father, and victim, told police that the female parties, one of which is the child’s mother, were about to fight but decided against it, so Calderon started yelling, causing the victim and his girlfriend to turn around.

As Calderon drew his black firearm, he yelled “Whats Up” several times, the father said.

The drawing of the firearm terrified the father’s girlfriend, according to court records.

At Police Headquarters , the suspect found a small pebble and scratched “I Love my girl” on the wall of his cell, police said.

Judge Terrence Hughes arraigned Calderon on aggravated assault, terroristic threats and related offenses setting bail as unsecured with a pending court date scheduled for this month,  Calderon does not have an  attorney, according to online court records.
