Levittown Husband Wants Wife to Get More Help for MH Issue, She Stabs Him Twice

A Levittown husband expressing concern to his wife about a behavioral health issue was stabbed by her at least two times and now she is in Bucks County Correctional Facility charged with aggravated assault and related offenses.

Margaret Graney, 63,  was arraigned by on-call District Judge Gary Gambardella just before 5 a.m. last Saturday on aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of an instrument of crime sending her to BCCF with bail set at 10 percent of $100,000,00. 

On Saturday, November 9, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Bristol Township Police were dispatched to the unit block of Patricia Ln. for an assault report. The victim told dispatch his wife assaulted him with a knife shortly after coming home from work, police said in court records. 

Police arrived on scene and contacted the male victim outside on the street.  The victim repeated what he told dispatch, his wife, the suspect, Graney arrived home at approximately 2 a.m.  He said his wife entered the house and became upset when he told her she should get help for her mental health condition. 

An argument ensued in the kitchen area where, the victim said, his wife grabbed a small kitchen knife and stabbed him in his hand and tried to stab him in the face, missing but slicing his neck There was dried blood observed on his neck and hand. There was a small cut with blood observed on the victim’s forehead as well, according to the probable cause. 

Graney said she was going to kill him while holding the knife, the victim told police.  

Graney barricaded herself inside the bathroom for a short while refusing to come out, but later subsequently opened the door and she was taken into custody without incident.
