A 49 year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Tuesday evening in Levittown.
According to Bristol Township Police officers were dispatched at 5:58 p.m., to the report of a crash
involving a motorcycle in the area of 4001 Veterans Highway, Levittown
The preliminary investigation, police said, shows that a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling northbound on
Veterans Highway and was stopped in the center left hand turn lane waiting to turn. A 2001 Harley
Davidson was traveling south on Veterans Highway and had entered the center turn lane around traffic
and struck the driver’s side front corner of the Volkswagen,
The motorcycle operator, a 46 year old man, was taken by the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue
Squad to Lower Bucks Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, said Lt. Patrick Kitchenman.
His name has not been released by police.
The Volkswagen operator remained on scene and was cooperative with the police investigation, Kitchenman said.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, William Penn Fire
Company, and Bristol Township Fire Police.
Anyone who has information about this crash is asked to contact Officer Jane Areias of the Bristol
Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit at 267-812-3070.
