The man Bristol Township authorities accused of torching a Croydon carpet business was jailed Friday just before noon.
District Judge Charles D. Jonas arraigned Shayne Holland at 11:45 am for setting fire to Bucks County Carpet Company on November 5. Jonas set Holland’s bail at 10 percent of $250,000.00. He was sent to Bucks County Jail as he was unable to post bail. Police issued an arrest warrant for Holland on November 28.
The circumstances surrounding the Philadelphia man’s arrest are unknown as of publication time.
A Croydon Fire Company Captain fell 12 feet through the attic floor battling the blaze. He was transported to Jefferson Torresdale by Bensalem EMS and was treated and released, officials said.
Bristol authorities did not immediately respond to information requests this evening.
Online county arrest records show Holland, as of publication time, does not have an attorney record and is currently scheduled to appear in Bristol Borough District Court on January 10, 2024.
Bristol Township Police issued the arrest warrant on November 28 for Shayne Holland, who will be 25 this week, on five felony counts for arson and other related offenses. The warrant is filed in Bristol Borough District Court.
The fire was “intentionally set,” Fire Marshal Kevin T. Dippolito said, adding, a Croydon Fire Company Captain fell 12 feet through the attic floor battling the blaze. He was transported to Jefferson Torresdale by Bensalem EMS and was treated and released.
The fire was allegedly set just before fire crews dispatched 2:20 am bringing out dozens of locals to watch first responders work.
