Kenwood Shopping Center’s “Euro Mart” Fire Investigation Remains “Open”

An early morning fire at a popular Levittown Store remains “under investigation” Tuesday morning, Bristol Township Fire officials say. 

Fire Crews knocked back a fire at the Euro Food Market,  in the Kenwood Shopping Center in Bristol Township’s section of Levittown. 

First responders arrived on scene around 12:55 a.m. as witnesses in the area reported “heavy smoke” billowing from the roof of the structure located in a strip mall  area on 1500 block of Haines Road. 

Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito  said in a press release early this morning the “Fire heavily damaged the food market and caused significant smoke damage to neighboring units in the shopping center.”

Witnessesses  to the fire and response said fire crews were on the roof of the building fighting the fire, while a second crew of first responders, broke into the front store gates were theu were met with thick smoke conditions also. 

Dipolito said the market was closed at the time of the fire adding  no one suffered any injuries determining the fire started in the rear of the market.

Locals were awakened by the markets fire alarms screams cutting through the night just after 12:50 am.Fire companies arrived on the scene moments later. 

In video shot by witnesses living close by and sent to Lower Bucks Source by a source who asked their identity be kept confidential, shows firemen cutting through the front metal gates with saws to gain access to the building.
