Late Thursday Night Transformer Fire Knocked Back Swiftly by Levittown 2 First Responders

Levittown fire crews quickly doused a transformer fire in the Levittown section of Bristol Township last night.

Just after 11pm, Squirt 13 was transmitted for a Brush Fire in the 6000 Blk of Bristol-Emilie Road – Bristol Township. Arriving units arrived to find 3 phase ground transformer full involved. Peco was immediately requested to secure power the unit, said Levittown #2 fire officials.

PECO work crews arrived on scene, verified power was secured and assisted fire crews with putting the fire out, the fire company said

Fire officials said, there was no extension inside the building as it was was contained to the unit.
